The Israeli military confirmed on Wednesday that a Hezbollah strike in southern Lebanon—utilizing a mix of rockets and suicide drones—left two IDF soldiers wounded.
The attack unfolded when a pair of explosive-laden drones detonated right near troops on the ground. One soldier is currently in moderate condition, while the other escaped with lighter injuries; both are now receiving hospital care after their families were alerted. It was a busy day for air defenses, too.
The IDF managed to knock down one “hostile target” before it even hit Israeli air space, though another drone did manage to slip through and crash near the northern border.
While that specific one didn’t hurt anyone.
