Israeli police have summoned three journalists to give open testimony in the ongoing “Qatargate” investigation, according to reports.
The reporters — Itamar Eichner (Yediot Aharonot), Amir Bohbot (Walla), and Amichai Stein (i24News and The Jerusalem Post) — were questioned by Lahav 433 as part of a probe into alleged efforts to influence media messaging linked to Qatar.
The inquiry is examining their professional contacts with Eli Feldstein, a former adviser in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office and a central suspect in the case.
The investigation is linked to earlier allegations involving leaked intelligence from Hamas hostage negotiations, which were reportedly passed to the German outlet Bild to shape public debate.
