Trump says US will start 'Project Freedom Plus' if Iran talks failTrump says US will start 'Project Freedom Plus' if Iran talks fail

President Trump dialed up the pressure on Iran this Saturday, signaling that Washington is ready to ramp up military action if diplomatic talks don’t start moving faster.

While speaking with the press, Trump teased a potential revival of “Project Freedom,” though he’s now calling the expanded framework “Project Freedom Plus.”

While he didn’t dive into the specifics, he hinted that this new phase would go significantly further than the previous naval escorts we’ve seen in the Strait of Hormuz.

This latest warning follows a string of U.S. strikes targeting Iranian-linked oil tankers and military sites, marking a sharp escalation in Gulf tensions.

Trump didn’t hold back his frustration with Tehran, accusing them of “slow-rolling” the negotiation process.

Interestingly, he also claimed that Pakistan has stepped in, reportedly urging the U.S. to hold off on resuming the operation for now.
