The United States Navy frigate was hit by two Iranian Navy missiles near the Strait of Hormuz- Iranian Fars News Agency reports
The vessel was reportedly forced to alter its route and turn back following the missile attack. The Iranian media further claimed that the missile launch was carried out after the US ship violated security protocols for transit and navigation near Jask.
